In 2006, Syna and Phil embarked on their journey aboard Caribbean cruise ships, eventually settling in Mineville, Nova Scotia, by 2016. Phil, armed with an MBA, delved into real estate the same year. Syna, a Civil Engineer Tech, transitioned from construction to real estate in 2020, forming the Evans Real Estate Team with Phil. Melisa joined the team in 2022 and Alex in 2023, each bringing unique skills and passion for helping clients achieve their real estate goals.

Phil was born in Newfoundland and has been fortunate to live in New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta and BC. Phil loves it here in Halifax and has since he moved here in 2009. This city has caught the heart of both Phil and his fiancé / business partner, Syna, and they are proud to call this city home.
Phil got his start in real estate 7 years ago in Halifax were he had the opportunity to represented & sell the most successful pre-construction condo project in Halifax (Gorsebrook Park Condos). He did this all while quickly becoming one of the top agents at his brokerage, Keller Williams Select Realty. Before getting into real estate, Phil had an extensive career in industrial sales while also receiving his MBA from Saint Mary’s University in 2014.

Syna made the switch to real estate to spend more time with her partner Phil buying, selling, and investing in real estate for themselves. I’m Alex! I am one of the awesome realtors on #teamevans. Born in Saint John and spent all my summers growing up in PEI. I lived in Ottawa and finished High School in Portland Oregon before returning to the Maritimes for university to attend Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. You could say I understand the emotions pretty well when it comes to choosing a new place to call home. I started investing in real estate in 2009 with my first investment property and have grown my personal portfolio to include investment properties in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. I’m Melisa! I am the Transaction Coordinator for the Evans Real Estate Team. What does a Transaction Coordinator do? Great Question! I help to provide the white glove customer service we’re known for. I liaise between our customers, lawyers, mortgage brokers, agents & inspectors. I help our customers throughout the entire real estate transaction and beyond. I also handle the social media, website, general enquires & all things administrative. You could say I am the hub / centre of the universe here at the Evans Team 😉 I also help provide insider knowledge about what our beautiful province has to offer as I am the only born & raised Bluenoser on the team. If you get the pleasure to interact with me, you’ll quickly learn that I care deeply about our customers and always try to see the sunshine on a cloudy day. Some might say I radiate positivity (might be the caffeine haha). I’m a problem solver who wants to help take the stress out of buying, selling & investing.

"Purrs-sident" of Compassion
Fabio was imported from Russia and won a series of cat shows in Atlantic Canada before he joined the Evans Real Estate Team. He joined the team after a loss in the family and he has brought so much joy to the team! As the Purr-sident he watches over and supervises everything Phil and Syna do!
He loves interacting with humans and is more of a dog than a cat. He is a charmer and delights people whenever they see him. He loves going for walks on his leash down the road and will stop to say hello to anyone he passes. People love the juxtaposition of seeing Phil walk Fabio.
